Phenotypic characterization and trilineage differentiation of static and bioreactor-grown eCB-MSCs (donors 1409 and 1201). Top panel: Flow cytometry analysis of MSC and hematopoietic markers shown as a % positive compared to isotype negative control. There were no significant differences between the static and bioreactor for any markers. Bottom panel: Chondrogenic, osteogenic, and adipogenic differentiation of eCB-MSCs. Chondrogenic pellets were sectioned and stained with toluidine blue after 21 days of differentiation. Osteogenic and adipogenic induction was performed for 14 days, then cells were stained with Alizarin Red and Oil Red O, respectively. Insets: Negative controls of osteogenic and adipogenic induction containing only MSC expansion medium and stained with Alizarin Red and Oil Red O, respectively
