PVT1 could recruit DNA methyltransferases (DNMT1, DNMT3A and DNMT3B) to the sirt6 promoter region, thereby inhibiting the transcription of sirt6. With the downregulated expression of sirt6, the RA-FLS apoptosis was promoted while proliferation and invasion were enhanced.
