Real-time PCR analysis of BCCs 14 days after plating on different scaffolds showed the superior effects of PCL/SF/SESM and PCL/SF/SESM/AV but not PCL/SF in the induction of involucrin, keratin-14 and -5 transcription required for keratinocyte differentiation. The induction of involucrin was found to be highest compared to the other genes. This study was performed triplicate (n = 3)
