From: Proteomic analysis of decellularized mice liver and kidney extracellular matrices
Histological and immunohistochemical evaluation of decellularized liver matrices (dLM) and decellularized kidney matrices (dKM) compared to native tissues. Stainings were performed with Hematoxylin and Eosin (H/E), Siriusred (SR), Elastica-van-Gieson (VGE) and Alcianblue (AB). For immunohistochemical analysis, DAB detection and immunofluorescence (IF) were used to visualize collagen IV and laminin expression. Overall, cells were no longer present in the decellularized samples, and the scaffold of the extracellular matrix clearly visible. No major damage to the matrix was observed.
